xeon4j Posted October 6, 2007 Share Posted October 6, 2007 i have a big question about streaming live video over the internet on a mac. what program can i use for this video streaming? in windows i use windows media encoder to encode the live footage and then send it to a video server like streamwebtown.com but i can't find a solution for this on mac osx, i know that mac osx server does have a streaming software to stream video on the web but.. i dont want to pay $500 for mac osx serve. is there any way that this can be done on a mac. thanks Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
adrock42 Posted August 26, 2008 Share Posted August 26, 2008 quicktime broadcaster and wirecast are the best i've found. use wowza server to stream to flash. update Also If you like you can create a flash application to stream to flash. there are a couple of these, but I use the stock example that comes with the wowza server. on the pc side the on2 vp7 codec is bada$$.
