Anuj
Hi, Ok i have just spent an insanr amount of time downloading this folder "Apple.OS.X.x86.10.4.Generic.Install.DVD" it has files in parts 1 to 51 i think. After reading around I extracted the files (.rar files) using winrar. Thus i got an iso file called "Generic-Tiger.iso". Next i went to partition manager in windows and cleared up one complete drive, i have 4 HDDS therefor i just cleared up one IDE 80 GB SEAGATE BARACUDA drive. Next I have used the ISO file to create a DVD. Finally Used the DVD to boot up. The darwin program successfully executed with some warnings (later vound out in verbose mode) i dont really understand. But the setup scren started and i chose the 80 gig drive in the partition manager anf formatted the drive into 4 parts using MZC OSX extended file system. Here comes the {censored} part... the whole thing goes fine installer starts up, i choose the disk to install to, at the install options screen it shows me the list of contents with Maxxuss v0.4.1 mach_kernel SSE3 emulation and another patch pre enabled. It then verifies the install DVD... OK. Then installes the base system part_part1... OK Then out of nowhere the damn thing stops... message there is a problem with the installation please restart. In the debug info it says somethign about some libraries missing maybe. But i have already heared of so man people having acheived success with this very file. Anyhow. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE SOMEONE OUT THERE HELP !!!!!! CANT SIT FOR FOREVER TO DOWNLOAD AGAIN!!!! Anuj
no ive reformatted the drive back .... will try to use the 10.4.3 stuff i guess it seems the boot cd itself is screwed tried it on diff systems ... similar problems. I think it has missing files or something it fails to read the essential utilities etc on install. My dvd drive is new ... so .. so this time around im gonna get the 10.4.3 dmg file and patch it myself and then create a bootable iso install or something .. suggestions are welcome. jbjonas
this might be off base, as from your post I was confused about how you installed (SSE2 or SSE3 support, etc.) I would make sure that you are only installing for SSE2 with a patch for SSE3 as your Newcastle core is listed as not supporting SSE3. http://wiki.osx86project.org/wiki/index.ph....4.3#Processors Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/6556-help-needed-osx-1041-installerdvd/#findComment-40627 Share on other sites
Anuj
Yup i know my cpu dosent have sse 3. The file i downloaded was a propatched dvd image ehich had tha maxxus patch applied to it along with one other patch which show up at the time of install.. but then the damn thing fails when installing essentials ... its already happened 6 times. so I am currently downloading 10.4.3 8f1111 ... whish i could somehow get the the forst one to work ... the install program gives a BOM error ive also tried borning 2 seperate DVD's Ive also just read that 10.4.3 8f1111 works slightly slow on sse2...dman man ... whish this was simpler ....
