blessani
Hi guys, I've tried two builds so far, uPhuck 10.4.9 R3 - which installed fine, but then when booting after installation it froze. Verbose mode (-v) shows it stopped at IOAPIC: Version 0x20 Vectors 64:87. So assuming it was maybe a build compatibility issue, I downloaded uPhuck 10.4.10 4i R2, which again installed without issue, but when booting froze at IOAPIC: Version 0x20 Vectors 64:87. My machine is an Acer 5582WXMi: Intel Core 2 Duo 1.66GHz Intel 950GMA VGA Adaptor 2GB RAM 100GB HDD Marvel Yukon Ethernet Adaptor Intel 3495 WiFi Adaptor (I think) Anyone have any thoughts? thestevo
Try disabling everything in the BIOS that isn't absolutely necessary for installation. If that goes ok, then add them back one by one.
blessani
tried that - no joy, so im trying 10.4.7 now instead edit: 10.4.7 worked a treat, but now is my mission to find drivers for almost everything... intel 3945abg marvell yukon lan driver intel high definition audio
thestevo
You may be able to get away with that. However, your audio correction may require a newer kernel, or it may not. Most likely you could correct the issue by finding what driver is causing the error on boot and replacing it with the old one on the install disc. However, it seems like this may just be easier. You should be able to do upgrades from that install, provided you save the appropriate kexts. Stevo
