I've been trying various different installation DVDs to try and get my system working. I got JaS installed, but I get the "please reboot your computer by pressing reset or holding down the power button" screen on boot. The other installations I get have a 'press f8 for options' message on boot, but this version doesn't, it goes straight to "Loading Darwin" and then the apple screen. I've tried mashing the f8 key as it boots, to no avail. How do I get into verbose mode? thestevo Posted October 7, 2007 Share Posted October 7, 2007 Kernel panic, problem something wrong with hardware combatibility or the options you checked in the install. Try Uphuck and select your hardware very carefully.
