Hi there,

i only get:

Waiting for boot volume with UUID ****
Wainting on <dict ID="0"><key>IOProviderClass</key><string ID="1">IOResources</string><key>IOResourceMatch></key><string ID="2">boot-uuid-media</string></dict>

and nothing happend at this point.

System : HP DC 7700 / P4 3.0Ghz / 120 GB SATA / the Board has no IDE Ports anymore.

I don't know what i can do! There is a full functionable OSX 10.4.9 installed on the HD.

On an other Board it comes up without any problems i think the Chipset ICH8 caused that problem.

Please help !!!

Well, here is the info behind it.

JaS didn't include ICH8 support. Bikerdude880 released a patch that allowed for it.

Uphuck 1.3 included ICH8, but I don't believe you could boot the installer with it. Merely install onto a hard drive and then move that drive into the ICH8 machine.

Uphuck 1.4 was supposed to include it for booting, but it had some problems. Revision three is when it was fixed.

Plus, I can't assure that there wouldn't be another factor involved, but I just installed 1.4r3 on an ICH8 machine last night and it worked fine, as it has many times before when I did it.

Any machine can have quarks, even if everything is *theoretically* supported. But, not owning the machine and having personal experience its the closest I can get to being sure that it should work for you.

hi mate i have just got one to boot into leopard a rather strangeway, have tried everything. attach one stata drive to Primary Sata Port Dark Blue and Sata DVD drive to White port.

Go into Bios diable Data Execution Prevention in bios

Install XP any Version doesnt matter, on whole drive. Dont bother setting anything up just get it to welcome screen and reeboot

Split the Drive 50/50 with a Disk Director or similar using boot cd (eg hirens) normal fat32 dont make it active or anything else

make sure it boots into xp,then reeboot

insert TOH 1.5.1 dvd go to install menu (hit enter)

when booted into gui, open disk Utility and format the Partition Not XP the other half) as Extended with Jornaling, then close disk utility and install Leopard as Normal.

mine booted straight away

then use the Kalyway 10.5.2 Updater and That worked for me.

sounds a mad way but believe me i have tried everything........ didnt even bother getting it to dual boot will reeformat xp partition as Mac Partion later but so glad to get it working

P.s Dont Install any other Kernel Updates other than the Kaly One or it F*&ks up
