macnoob
I have OSx86 installed usuing the 8F1111 install dvd. Where are the applications that come with OSX? I only have itunes...no GarageBand, imovie, idvd etc. Am I missing something? Btw, I know this OSx86 has been going on for a while now, but I would like to thank everyone who makes this possible. I've been lurking around this site for a bit now and I must say this is the most helpfull info out there. macnoob
I think I found the answer... the apps I want are a part of iLife. The reason I was confused is because they come standard on a OSX installation. Hopefully iLife will install. jrrjrr
GarageBand, iPhoto, iMovie HD, iDVD, etc are not part of the OS. They are part of the iLife package. For some reason, iPhoto was included in the very first release of OSX for Intel that was floating around, but at this point, if you want any of these, you need to go buy iLife or . . . suleiman
just a quick note about the iLife bundle: it's not universal yet. So iPhoto runs about 10 times slower than it did before, in 10.4.1, and the 10.4.1 version of iPhoto runs buggy in 10.4.3 from another user's experience.
