Hi guys,

I want to be able to run OSX on my desktop PC. However, my friend tried it and said it won't work because we have SATA hard drives and OSx86 only currently works with IDE. Is this true?

Secondly, would I have any compatibility issues? Here are my specs:

CPU:E6600

Motherboard: Gigabyte 965P-S3

Graphics Card: 7900GS TurboForce Edition

RAM:2x1GB Corsair 667

Hard Drive: 320GB Seagate SATA II (main bootable drive), 500GB SATA II, 300GB IDE, 120GB IDE.

Sound Card:Creative X-FI Xtreme Music

DVD Drives: 2xPioneer 111D IDE

Thanks in advance :D

Your Creative X-FI Xtreme Music sound card will not work unless its an usb card, there are no support for creative pci sound cards currently (and most likely will not be). The onboard sound card on your mothearboard should work.

Other than that everything seems to be just fine and should work flawlessly, and sata do work in osx86 if you have a supported sata controller, and yes the sata on your motherboard is supported.
