range_os
hi All! Just workin on a fully usable hackintosh here, and the only thing im still in lack of is sound! I have a Sound Blaster soundard, and as i recall it has a ES1371 chip on it or the other one witch is supported according to wiki. But sites gone, rapidshare gone, i was wondering, maybe one of u lads could provide me with it, or pm me some hint where to find! would really apprichiate it! and one more Q: If i buy a soundcard that has a OsX drivere made by the manufacturer, will it work under hackintosh 10.4.8, or no one knows, and i have to hope for the best (it would be an EMU 1212) thx 4 listening! BJMoose
I don't have an internal Sound Blaster, but my USB Creative Labs 24bit Live component works great out of the box with OSX with no need for drivers. The Kalyway installer disk has an option I believe for Sound Blaster. Don't know if it will work with your particular card or not. Lactobacillus P
I found lots of USB sound solutions working, ranging from nice little USB Sweex SP005 speakers to my Logitech A-0374A USB Headset including microphone.
