(_Alex_)
Hello people! All I know about this topic is what I've read in this forum spending lot of hours. But finally I am really disappointed because I cannot find how to solve this. I have installed propertly Mac OS X 10.4.8 [JaS AMD-Intel-SS2-SS3 with PPF1 & PPF2] in my Pentium 4 Prescott 3.06Ghz with ABIT AS8 motherboard. Everything's working fine, even my Bluetooth USB receiver, Realtek AC97 built in sound card, and other periphericals. Well, my gfx card is a XFX Nvidia GeForce 7600GT (XXX Edition with 256Mb DDR3) but the AGP version. The OS recognize the card and installing Titan,Natit or any other drivers it works. I can manage 1280 x 1024 display resolutions, but not QE/CI support. I tried thousand times with no success, I have been following different tutorials from another guys, using diabolik driver, titan, gforce... I have done everything step by step, using terminal, reparing system atributtes, editing my ID in the .kext files, etc... I did all this tests removing everything from the motherboard before installing mac os x, my sattelite pci card receiver, all the usb receivers except the mouse, but it doesn't work. I would like to know someone who put the gfx card to work with QE/CI support, specially the Gforce 7600GT AGP. I'm so sad because i see a lot of people that get success with this issue, but I didn't. In my last attempt I saw a ray of hope because when the OS was loading in verbose mode, it found my gfx card with a few good messages using NVDANV40Hal.kext and my hardware ID... but the screen was frozen in that point. (a picture of that has been attached). Please some help !!!!
