macmover
http://jbpcrepairs.co.uk/InfoPages/Upgrades/2.html Anybody? I'm getting it for Christmas and I'm after running OSX on it, if not does anybody know where I can find a powerful Mac/Mac Capable PC that I can build for £250? ~pcwiz
Base system looks OK, CPU supports SSE3. Pretty low end though...You're gonna have to consider the motherboard, hard drive, and video card. Without that info, I can't say for sure whether OS X is gonna work. macmover
Well for video card, it's a Sparkle GeForce 8400 GS 256MB DDR2, with Hard Drive it's a bog standard IDE 320 Gb drive, and no idea on motherboard yet. ~pcwiz
I would advise you not to get a GeForce 8xxx series card. They are not well supported in OS X. I would advise you to get the ASUS EN7600GS 256MB card. Its only 95 dollars. The IDE hard drive is good, supported in OS X. Still need motherboard details though. Some notes about building a Hackint0sh Best Motherboard: Intel D975XBX2 ($199) One of the best video cards: ASUS EN7600GS 256MB($95) Best processor: Intel Core 2 Duo/Core 2 Quad/Core 2 Extreme (price varies) If you buy these components, you will have a working out of the box Hackint0sh system. And audio will work to with a simple patch. Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/64957-will-this-work/#findComment-460081 Share on other sites

~pcwiz
Just saying, the components I outlined may not be the cheapest, but they're the BEST and most hassle free.
