thingi
My list ONLY applies to complete fresh installs on an intel macmini/macbook - PPC and other hardware may still have issues. So far I've found:- All iLife apps working including iMovie08 :-) iLife 08 apps load very quickly especially compared to iLife 08 on Tiger. Coverflow in iTunes now has all covers cached so zero loading times :-) Quicklook font size increased for most doc types so now they are readable in large resolutions. Speed - performance rocks compared to previous beta's is as fast if not faster than Tiger. Spaces is faster on open close. Dashboard no longer suffers hiccups on first load it's now totally smooth. Stacks no longer suffers from first click jerkiness regardless of how many extra apps are in a folder. Not experienced any Finder crashes when using coverflow for odd movie types anymore (porn downloads are a great test ;-) FrontRow volume control now works No issues with software update. No Safari download issues. Current window more prominent (hehe - just compare it with Vista where the active window is virtually a Mystery). Apple App Dock icons look more in sync with the 3d effect The menubar now doesn't have the glich where the right hand side of it is missing (airport / date time etc) until an App is launched. TimeMachine transitiona are now a lot smoother (although it's still not a smooth as expose/spaces). Not really a squished bug but 'broken' screensavers have been removed (there's still the colour bug for itunes artwork when rows > 5 though). All in all it feels like a solid beta to me so far :P Have yet to install vmware so unsure if nasty max processor usuage occurs - will udate list as more apps get installed...... MyPancakePlaces
I guess some apps will be loading much faster now if you are using a 64bit processor in Leopard.
