Solidus
Hi guys.... Been following the guides on yer forums for installing Mac OS X (x86) on the Qemu with SSE2 enabled. The problem I'm having is that even with my recompiled version of Qemu with SSE2 emulation enabled, I'm having a kernel panic after the spinning gear works for a few mins. I've set the platform=x86pc and all other settings appear to be correct, can anyone shed some light on this? AMD AthlonXP 2600+ 512mb PC2700 Also, same result from: Apple iBook G4 1.42GHz 768mb PC2700 I'm using Q on the iBook, and Qemu patched with Qman and the optimizations. I get the same result from both x86 (32) and x86-64 settings. Regards, Dave.

Try: platform=X86PC "Graphics Mode"="800x600x16" -v Take care to not install the kqemu kernel accelerator module on a SSE only CPU (else OSX86 is not running). Try the binary from this thead if it don't work: http://forum.osx86project.org/index.php?sh...ic=5132&hl=qemu Edited January 6, 2006 by DrJägermeister
Solidus
Not for working mate, here's a screenshot of what I get- I've tried all of your suggestions and nothing seems to fix it... I'm destined not to run OS x86 I'm gonna just go out and get an Athlon64 in a few days, it'd be nice to have OS X to screw around with in the mean time but I guess I'll have to wait, got the iBook to keep my OS X needs in check anyhoo Still, I'd like to try and end off this issue for any other users having the same problem, so I'll keep investigating. Solidus
Nah mate, I'm using a native (h4x0red) installer CD with the SSE3 removal tools etc. Worked fine on an Intel Pentium M laptop and P4 desktop.
