Can't mount external USB drive

Hi,

 

I'm somehow unable to mount an external USB drive on my TubGirl 10.4.10 system. The USB drive itself is ok since it works without any problems on my Powerbook.

 

Anyone else experience such problems? Any suggestions?

 

Here's some more details about my system and the error output:

 

OS: TubGirl 10.4.10

No guarantees, but did you try more than one USB slot? Sometimes the built-in USBs on the rear of the case are more dependable than those connected to the front of the case via usb cable.

thx for the tip but the USB port isn't the problem. I highly suspect the USB driver isn't working properly. Unfortunately, all the alternative drivers won't work with kernel 8.10.1.

My suggestion: Revert to a 8.9.1 or 8.8.1 kernel (you won't lose any functionality) and install the USB driver.
