Hi all,

I`ve read quite a few other posts on the topic, and decided to give installing myself a go. I`ve installed the OS X system (JAS AMD INTEL SSE2 SSE3 10.4.8) on my Dell Dimension D500 simply because it wasn`t doing anything usefull. I was aware that the specs may be a little low:

1.3 Ghz Intel (SEE2) 256 MB RAM, 18.4 GB HD, Intel on-board graphics.

Installed first time perfectly from a DVD-RW burn. System seems to be working well, boots and the sound works ! Just one probelm, the display is a nasty grey, and all the text is totally illegible, so bad I can hardly read anything on screen. The display settings in OSX show 800*600 at 256 colour, with no option to change. There is no colour displayed !

Any suggestions from anyone ?

Thanks in advance,

Sven
