midlandskatecom
I've noticed that with using VMWare it sets my hard drive to be IDE which would let me install Mac OSX in theory, and I have been running a 10.4.1 image for the last 30 minutes before I gave up since it was too outdated so how would I use my Tubgirl image and get it to install? I need super noob instructions though. I'm only 15 and not so great at following this stuff. Thanks guys Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/64667-how-would-i-use-vmware-to-install-tubgirl-amd-10410/ Share on other sites
midlandskatecom
Well, I just tried using the ISO instead of the physical drive and I got a big O with a slash through it during the Installer boot... anyone want to tell me whats up with that? AlaskanWild
I get the same image at start up trying to install 10.4.10. I think it is the hard drive, although why the HDD has to be PATA instead of SATA when Macs use SATA is beyond me. midlandskatecom
That makes sense, however, the Virtual Drive that VMware makes is an IDE/PATA drive and whenever I go to boot the image natively, it will atleast load the installer and let me go to the disk utility, it just doesn't format. Yaniv Ragasaydiv
dont use the virtual disk built into vmware.. check out PCwiz's guide on the whole thing. use daemon tools or somethin else to mount the image.
