iwannasave
Its been a month or so since I got my hackintosh installed on my PC, now that I have finally got the hang of the OS, I would like to do more things that I do on my Linux desktop example: FTP files, NFS mount, samba mount stuff from my NAS, etc. Google got me to Fugu, but it does SSH only, which is good with my Linux box, but my NAS supports only FTP and Samba (runs embeded linux) I tried for over a week to get Samba working, but no matter what I do, it will not work, so I gave up and have to FTP files back and forth whenever I need it. I also tried FTP-Mount, since it is only RO and not RW, it does not solve the issue. I am on 10.4.8, attempts to upgrade to 10.4.9 or 10.4.10 just crashed and corrupt my whole install. (I used the hackintosh upgrades too) Is there a collection of good Open Source applications on a website or is there a recomended list? For Linux there is a Website called www.theopencd.org Thanks -GGR Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/64658-open-source-applications/ Share on other sites
