I am at the osx install screen but i dont see a harddrive to install it on... how do i install it? Partition or wha? Im semi computer savvy so i may need some detailed explination please!! I DONT have any partitions set up right now. and i only have one hard drive on the computer... Do i have to partition to get a disk to show up? Can anyone with OSX86 running explain to me what they had to go through? Thank ya! macfan2 Posted September 27, 2007 Share Posted September 27, 2007 Yes you must use disk utility and then select and just erase the HDD then exit and you will see a icon for the HDD which you select to install on (obvioulsy!) OSX is in the install process (for the 2nd time though <img src="style_emoticons/default/dry.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="<_<" border="0" alt="dry.gif" /> )... The first time i made 2 partitions a 60 named XP and a 20 named OSX86, when i went to load the OS it didnt do a thing.... I reformatted using just one partition (the Journaled one (right one???) ) Well wish me luck!!!GAH! Not working.... just installed for the 2nd time... Now all i get is a black screen with a blinking white slash.... Its not going away... Any tips?
