zurk Posted September 27, 2007 Share Posted September 27, 2007 I want to remap my keyboard TAB or F1 or some other easily accessible key so that when i hit it comes up with the shutdown in 2 minutes popup and starts shutting the machine down after 2 minutes (i.e. the same as going to the apple menu and selecting shutdown). is there a simple way to bind this command to my F1 or F2 or tab key as a shortcut ? like an on/off switch ? (its running as a server, so keyboard functionality is pointless since it doesnt have a monitor attached and the computer on/off button is buried with the system under a desk) Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

zurk Posted September 28, 2007 Author Share Posted September 28, 2007 dont have an apple keyboard. anyway, i did solve it so its ok. remapped F12 to select shutdown from the finder. used that freeware star thingy the french guy created to remap it and it works great.
