tenshin2002
Thanks for the reply macgirl! I tried with mach_kernel.orig and mach_kernel.sse2 and none of them works. But how kan it be the Kernel that cause me problems when the installation boots and goes well? Its only right after the installation finishes that my system wont boot. Is there anyting i can do or another dvd patch. By the way my system is a P4 HT 3.2 GHz with 1024MB Ram and Ati 9800 PRO. Thanks in advance. macgirl
It depends of the installation DVD, some can use specific kerenl for boot but install another one. Did you try with VMware? WilboZ
Your results may very well vary, but.... I was getting a kernel panic when the boot DVD tried to load my onboard sound plus onboard ethernet. I found that if I disabled (in bios) the Azalia/AC97 sound then the boot proceeded, and I completed the install. After doing some searching on the boards (I love this resource!) I found MacGirl's Azalia kexts and intstall solution. Sorry, I have forgotten exactly where it was. It may have actually been on Win2OSX.net...just, can't remember. Anyway, my Azalia sound is working great now! No sound input yet Now, if I could just get my Sapphire X800Pro to load the kext and get CI and QE, I would be incredibly happy!!! Thanks MacGirl! I hope this helps you tenshin2002! tim. tenshin2002
Okey boys and girls. Finally got 8F1111 to work. My problem with the rebooting was due to the fact that I had patched the iso file with the wrong version of JaS patch. I patched it with the SSE3 and i have a P4HT. Anyway so now it works both native and under VMWare, thanks macgirl! I have an odd problem, the sound works in VMWare but not native. My soundcard is a Creative Audigy 2, is there any solution to this? Also my WiFi card doesnt work native, its a Netgear WG311T (works under VMWare trough bridging). I think i will get me a Macintel when they release, Im liking this OS alot. thebrain_16
Tenshin2002, Can you tell me which patch you used? I'm having the same rebooting problems, and I also have a P4HT CPU. tenshin2002
First i used a JaS patch thats called JaS patch 1111. But I missed the part in the post that stated that it only was for SSE3 CPUs. So later I found the patch thats called "1111a[1].Generic.Patch.v4.2b.zip" and it solved all my problems. You can find it on [Violation of DMCA] select Free download and wait for the countdown to reach cero, then you have to enter 3 karakters in the textbox and voila! Hope it helps! //Tenshin Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/6456-re-booting-screen-of-death-on-8f1111-jas-patch/#findComment-42143 Share on other sites

mp97
Ive read that one should also try to delete the Ati driver files from the system folder on your OS X install.
