I've got a PC with the following hardware running Vista

Processor - Intel Core Duo E6600

Motherboard - Asus P5B Deluxe WIFI

Memory - 2 x 1GB CorsairTwinX DD2 800Mhz

Disks - 4 x Samsung Spinpoint P1 SP2504C 250MB SATA II

Graphics - XFX 7600GT XXX, PCI-E (x16)

The boot disks are striped for performance and the docs disks are mirrored for resilience

Since seeing an Apple iMac at the Apple Store, I was ready to ditch Vista in an instance.

I've tried:

uphuck_10.4.9_universal_dvd_v1.3

JaS.10.4.8.AMD.Intel.SSE2.SSE3

uphuck_10.4.9_v1.4i_r2

Can't get any of them to work - get the "com.apple.Bootplist" problem. Searched all the forums etc and tried the fixes but no good.

Anyway, to my question:

What motherboard & possibly other hardware would I need for this to work without any problems?

In other words, what is the most compatible system out there which isn't an iMac?

and, can I still use my disks in this way ie. 2 striped and 2 mirrored?

Could someone point out the problem items and possible replacements?

Thanks
