Then I updated everything through the UPdate applicaiton in mac. Well know it just displays the COMPAQ LOGO then some texts then goes back and displays the logo again. I tryed booting up in a linux cd. and coping the file to a usb stick. But the file of my documents is locked? Anyidea on hwo to roll the update back or get my paper off? Which linux live CD did you use? Knoppix has a hard time trying to write files to fat32, and cant write to ntfs. I reccomend downloading a ubuntu install cd. You can get it from here: http://www.ubuntu.com/getubuntu/download. The install cd gives you the option to start up the live cd. From there you will be able to access your paper and get it onto any fat32 volume.
