When booting tap F8 repeatedly. A black screen should come up allowing you to add boot flags. Type -v [verbose mode] and hit enter. Post your output, possibly as a screenshot. Sometimes just using the -v flag allows you to boot. Did you select the ATI drivers during install? I don't remember what drivers are available on that specific install, but i thought some X1000 were on there... Nice rig, check specs in my sig, similar to yours [but your sig is not up-to-date, jftr ], hehe... Still sorting out graphics card at the moment, have artifacts under all OSes :S 2nd card i have that problem with, so i don't think it's actually the graphics card... oh well, i'll figure it out some day Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/64394-ati-x1950-pro-256-not-working/#findComment-456406 Share on other sites

Ziadantosh
I have done exactly what you said, I clicked F8 and -V and it kept doing some stuff I captured it here : And the final screen the PC freezed was by the way I tried to reinstall it and choosed only the drivers like Ati X1x00 and x1000 .. and the result was the same. It appears to me that its your hardrive... or hard drive controller Yep, i agree, tho i doubt it's the hard drive controller as i have the same motherboard... I'd recommend searching the forums for "IOATAController device blocking bus", there seem to be at least a few people who've encountered this. A 'solution' is posted here, tho i don't really understand what the person means/did :S Hope you figure it out If not, you could always try sending a message to the author of the post... I guess he's really saying this. Another relevant thread here and here. Hope you find a solution to your problem I don't really think your graphics card is preventing you from booting...
