netfox
I have a quad core q6600 processor. In the uphuck release there is a program included called CoreDuoTemp. When I run this I see three stats: temperature, cpu usage (in percents) and the clockspeed. When I'm rendering some video's the cpu usage is sometimes between 95-100%, but the clockspeed remains 1,5GHz; but the q6600 is a 2,4GHz processor!? I want to run my computer @ 2,4Ghz. Or does CoreCuoTemp give a wrong number and is my computer already running that speed? Thanx in advance. NateS
i had this same problem, i have a e6550 @ 2.33ghz, clocked to 3.5ghz, about this mac shows 3.5ghz, but coreduotemp shows 1.7ghz, i think its just the app reading it wrong, and it also reads the temps wrong aswell i think, i have the same board as you, i got a widget called iStat, and that did a ok job at temps, but no cpu speed, hope that helps Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/64255-running-q6600-at-full-speed/#findComment-454861 Share on other sites
