pntbllfrk
Hey, I've installed OSX 10.4.10(Tubgirl) through VMWare, installed on a partition installation went smooth. I'm able to boot Mac through VMWare fine but, When I try to boot it out of VMWare I get MASSIVE errors and such, starting from "I\O Error" and beyond. Here some pictures. Thanks if you can help. ~pcwiz
That is CRAZY. I have never seen errors like that appear when loading OS X. With that bunch of errors, its near impossible to find a solution... I just wanted to confirm, you are using Tubgirl so do you have an AMD processor? pntbllfrk
Crazy yes. Yes AMD processor, I'm starting over going to list EVERYTHING I'm doing. 1.create a new Virtual Machine 2.VM Congfiguration Custom. 3.New - Workstation 5 4.Other > Version FreeBSD 5.VM Name "Mac" 6.Number of processors "one" 7.Memory "512" 8.Network connection > Use bridged networking 9.I/O adapter types BusLogic 10.Use a physical disk 11.Use individual partitions 12.Partition 1(File system: Unknown, 14.6gb) (did create a partition with diskpart, id=af etc etc). 13.Then under devices, I select hard disk(IDE 0:0) 14.Click Advanced, mode Independent, Persisent Then I start system, boot dvd, Utility > Disk utility > Select partition, Erase (Name:Mac, Volume Format: Mac OS Extended(Journaled) ) Exit out, continue on with installation, install packages (X11, Additional Fonts, Language translations) I tried without x11 made no difference. Pretty much it, I can boot into mac with VMWare fine. ~pcwiz
Two things: Use VMware Workstation 6.0 build 45731 (something like that) for OS X. Other VMware versions don't work as well. Also, don't choose to install X11, Additional Fonts, or Language Translations. They only complicate things and you can always install them later if needed. Good luck Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/64238-awkward-errors-after-vmware-install-booting-native/#findComment-455350 Share on other sites
