offpir
can install it using VMware but it's extemely slow can't play sound or video files(extreme stuttering) (I hear sound and I can even surf on the net with my wireless internet) So I tried a normal install but I'm having problems with SATA (can't find my harddrive) and it's a laptop so that's a problem I tried connecting a usb harddrive and and the mac installation can find the drive so I formatted it correctly and installed it, but after a while the installer freezes and the screen says: "writing package receipt" time remaining 18 minutes (this occurs after "copying files" is 100% ) I use: JaS 10.4.8 AMD Intel SSE2 SSE3.Defiant diskutil fix.iso system specs:System: Fujitsu Siemens Amilo Xi 1526
Processor: Intel Core Duo T2500 (2.00 GHz, 667 MHz FSB, 2 MB L2-cache)
Memory: 1 GB (2 x 512 MB DDR2 533 MHz running in Dual Channel)
Hard drive: 1 x 120 GB (5400 rpm, 8 MB cache running in RAID-0)
Graphics card: nVidia GeForce Go 7600Go with 256 MB GDDR2
Screen: 17" WXGA+ Crystalview screen (1440 x 900 glossy screen)
Optical drive: DVD ± RW Dual Layer
Wireless card: Intel 3945 54 mbps card (802.11a/b/g) Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/64185-install-freezes/ Share on other sites
