I tried the build in software RAID during installation, but it gives me /com.apple.boot error. has any one got it to work in raid mode? Skitals Posted October 9, 2007 Share Posted October 9, 2007 It sounds like you are trying to install to a software RAID... which to my understanding isn't supported at all. I think you need to install to a single disk, and have a separate software raid for storage. Please let me know if that works w/ ICH9, because it is what I plan on doing. jl8080 Posted October 10, 2007 Share Posted October 10, 2007 I don't see much performance increase if all you're going to do is raid your storage. Surely you want to raid the OS aswell? I dual boot with Vista (no raid array) and I'd really like to get a raid setup, at the moment I'm downloading newsgroups faster than my computer can decode - so I've got to pause my downloads whilst my computer deals with the backlog.
