itwong
I have xXx OS X 10.4.10 running with 8.10.3 kernel and After I set up the system clock in OS X (current time zone and time) and reboot into vista, the system clock is always 8 hours faster no matter what I do. It's really annoying to have to set up the time manually everytime i boot into vista, any solutions to that or any ideas how this happens? thank you for your reply :-) Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/64006-need-help-on-mac-os-x-10410/ Share on other sites

bonestonne
its a common issue. i have it because my triple boot setup has XP/Ubuntu set the same and OS X 4 hours ahead. what i did is i set all three OS's to sync the clock with the internet, so within minutes after booting its fine. there's no way around this, it has to do with the time that you enter when you install OS X and how changing it affects the BIOS clock. kickabutt
Just set your timezone in OSX to match the difference. That's how I fixed it, instead of the usual +2 I had to set it -1 or whatevcer I did. Then it stayed the same all the time.
