HP zv5112ea

hey all ,

 

First , i would like to say that u guys have made this wonderfull community that

 

i enjoy just reading the articles and its alot of fun watching that project gets so

 

big ,

 

to the issue :

 

i have a laptop (hp zv5112ea) , i tried to install native osx86 with the 10.4.3 userdvd 81111 (patched with jas patches of course) ,

 

i tried to boot from the DVD (with the integrated laptop drive) and no success

 

i got the "waiting for root device" error ,

 

so i tried with an external usb dvd drive and had a success installing osx to

 

the HD , i booted after dissconnecting the usb drive and got into osx ,

 

its working great and i still have sound and Wifi problems , but i am sure it

 

will be fixed ,

 

the big problem is : osx86 doesnt see the integrated CD/DVD drive in the laptop ,

 

i guessed its not a IDE controller problem since osx boot nice from the HD ,

 

if someone can help it would be great,
