After I installed Mac 10.4.8, I couldn't login to the internet.

My mac os doesn't *use* my internal built-in ethernet even though it's shown in "System Profiler". When I go to System Preferences->Network, I don't see my ethernet listed. When i click Assist Me, I get to create a new connection, but I only have the choice of "Connect using Dialup ISP", all other choices (including LAN connection) are disabled.

PS: I upgraded to 10.4.10 using JaS's upgrade.

Any idea? Am i missing something?

Thanks in advance!
