mrjoe
I tried JaS 10.4.8 DVD, Uphuck 10.4.9 v1.3, Goatsecx 10.4.6 OK So the JaS one doesn't boot up, giving the still waiting for root device error that a lot of people are having. This is booting into the INSTALLATION DVD. Can't even get into installation program! Some error about IO.USB.MassStorageClass or something The Uphuck one tried to boot up, got the same errors above and couldn't boot and etc. Also shut down, restart, try to boot into Windows, reboots continously. Messes up windows too? WTF! Then the Goatsecx one... Hangs at Apple with spinning thingy, waited 1 hour, still nothing. HELP System specs: XPS 410 Core 2 Duo E6600 2.4 GHz 4GB 667 MHz RAM Nvidia 7900 GS 256 MB 82566 Gigabit Intel NIC => I'm never going to get THAT to work... 82801 HH/HR/HO Southbridge & SATA/RAID controller, with RAID off 160GB (don't laugh) 7200rpm SATA II hard drive 320GB external hard drive from Western Digital that I really can't use, has all Mac OSX86 images amounting to 55.4 GB of Apple Crappy internet connection SATA DVD+-R/RW. Can only burn +R for DL, don't know why... SATA DVD/CD reader. So... is there anyway of even getting partial compatibility (like a stable install that's only missing a few drivers)? Or is it hopeless? (You can also contact me at forum.osx86scene.com, I'm over there as mrjoe too.)
