E_tron
sorry, there is a misunderstanding. there is no socket A cpu that supports SSE2 instructions. The latest Athlon XP/Sempron chips for socket A (Barton, Thorton, T-bred A, T-bred B, and T-bred C cores) only supported PREFETCH, MMX+, 3DNOW+, and SSE. Is there any version out there that will work only up to SSE2 ? Thanks ! look for osx10.4.8 jas install dvd and start there. That is what i used on sse2 and it worked like a charm. if you have no problem with that you can try to update to 10.4.10 from there. Good Luck.
