You will find that this is one of the most compatible boards to use for OSX (and even though its intel it can do some substantial overclocking as well as I am running a E6420 (stock 2.13 Ghz) at 3 Ghz with no problems) Good luck! Very easily overcome if you use a mic by connecting an inexpensive USB sound card. I use a Creative Labs 24bit Live USB box.
