Ashok0
Hi, I just build up a new Hackintosh machine running a Q6600 with a GeForce 8800GTS 320mb. I've got 2GB of RAM, SATA harddrives and DVD drives, and a Gigabye P35-DS3 mobo. From what I've seen on the forums, everything should work fine minus the 8800. I was wondering, can I boot Vista with my PCIe 8800, and throw in a cheap PCI GeForce FX card in the same machine to boot OSX86 with QE/CI? SA22C
In my experience, no. Before the 512 MB nVidia cards were supported, I tried using OSX with a FX5200 in the PCI slot and my 7900 GTO in the PCIe slot. OSX always tried to use the 7900, and there seemed to be no way to prevent it from doing so on boot. I suspect the same would apply to your situation. I'm not that familiar with the boot process of OS X. Perhaps there is a config file that can be modified, but I wasn't able to find anything.
