Risking being screamed at...... I did search and tried few methods to no avail

I just did an install of 10.4.9 uphuck dvd v1.4i r3 and almost everything works, the resolution is low (1440) but I think I can live with that and maybe play around some more, but the Sleep I really need that, I need it to go to sleep when I close the lid and it doest, actually it doesnt go to sleep at all , the screen just freezes for few and then when I move the mouse it just comes up with out ever going to sleep. Should I try 10.4.10 ? if so which DVD ?

My setup

Dell E1505

Core 2 Duo 1.83

ATI X1400

1 GB RAM

Please help. Thanks guys

Same problem here, same laptop, except that mine has the Intel GMA 950, and after I close the lid, it wont start up again. The monitor wont turn on, no matter what I have tried?

I really hope some one can figure out this sleep issue on the Leopard. 2 Cores would be nice, but having the laptop go to sleep is very important. Has anyone got the orginal kernel working with the new EFI solution on the dell laptops ?
