lairusi Posted September 13, 2007 Share Posted September 13, 2007 Hello I have recently downloaded Mac OS X 10.4.8 [JaS AMD-Intel-SSE2-SSE3 with PPF1 & PPF2] that was lying around the net. And I'm following the instructions provided by hxxp://www.anyizhu.com/mediawiki/index.php/MacOSXInstallationGuides. Unfortunately, when I got to step 5.5 and has successfully got to the installation interface of the OS and has formatted a 10-gig partition (I used Patition Magic 8.0 to create this partition) to Mac OS Extended (Journaled). Unfortunately, when I am about to install the OS, there were no partition appearing in the screen... Can anyone help me? I'm using Lenovo T61 to do this. Sorry noob here. blindmanonacid Posted September 29, 2007 Share Posted September 29, 2007 Hi, you'd want to format the partition to hfs (or journaled) while you are in the installation process. Do this by entering Disc Utilities from the top menu and use erase. There are some good guides at http://www.osx86project.org/ describing this as well. We got the same computer btw, just installed the 10.4.6 osx86 and all seem to work except from wifi and sound. scampi01@hotmail.com Posted April 1, 2008 Share Posted April 1, 2008 Looks like ethernet is not supported at the moment. I was able to use a Linksys USB (USB200M) with the T61 and that did the trick. Now just have to get sound working. Have not tested wireless yet either. Thanks depends, LAN works now, Audio works on speakers only, video works if you have x3100 and if you have nvidia you can only change the resolution in com.apple.boot.plist. wifi works if you have Atheros - you have to edit IO8...kext. 10.5.5 works for NVS 140M only if you use Geforce* and NVD* kexts from 10.5.3 or 10.5.4 (same files). Recommended kexts attached.
