Celeron M 420 (1.6GHz) or Pentium M 780 (2.26GHz)

Hi,

 

Just got everything installed and working perfectly, i've gone and put two 1gb sticks in it, and its flying nice and fast now (faster than my Macbook). I was wondering if dropping a Pentium M 780 @ 2.26GHz would make any difference. I have one sitting on my shelf from a repair and was tossing up between the two CPU's.

 

The Celeron M 420 clocks lower @ 1.6GHz with less cache, but supports SSE3

 

or

 

The Pentium M 780 clocks higher @ 2.26GHz with more cache, but doesn't support SSE3

 

Could somebody enlighten me as to which CPU would be better, i'm aware that the 780 is a lot faster, but will it be faster in an OSX86 installation?

PS: I'm compiling a PDF with all information and screenshots to show how i got my system working... Good news for all 3680 owners... Including those with more recent revisions of the system
