Skyguy
New to the forums, what a great resource!! I am a total OSX86 n00b....but am working really hard to learn as much as possible, as quickly as possible. So.....I have a bunch of hardware laying around and want to build my own. What I have available to use: -Core2Duo 6300 (2 of them LOL), Core2Quad 6600, Sempron 3000+ -Seagate and Western Digital SATA drives, Maxtor IDE drive -Samsung optical DVD/RW drives, both IDE and SATA -7600GT PCI-e, 8800GTS PCI-e, FX5500 AGP -tons of DDR2, some DDR Mobos I have available: -ASUS P5L-MX -ASUS P5N-SLI -Gigabyte 965P-DS3 Rev.3.3 -MSI Socket 754 AGP for the Sempron, could find the exact model if needed Am getting uphuck 10.4.9 v1.4i r2 So........which mobo and hardware combo are most compatible? I guess the CPU doesn't matter, I can swap-and-drop as needed......so it's mostly the mobo I should be concerned with, correct? And are there any special tips/tricks/etc to know that'll make this relatively painless?? Thanks in advance for the help, much appreciated!!!
