silver9172
I installed OS X 10.4.6 on my PC and I get the "Still waiting for root device". I tried changing around my dvd drive and HD to see if that could fix it but had no luck. My question is what do I do next to try to get it installed. Should I give up? I have a second DVD drive that is not installed. Should I try using that? Here is what I have in the system. -P4 1.8GHz -1GB DDR2100 Ram -200GB Hard Drive -ATI 9650(I think) pro 256 mb -An Asus motherboard but dont know my model Thanks! jl8080
Is it a SATA hard drive? Make sure the drive is set to AHCI in BIOS (for that particular SATA controller). My advice would be to try a newer patched DVD as they offer better support in general. Also you might want to take a look at your board and check the wiki.
