Greetings,

I seem to have messed up my osx86 install by manualy replacing the kexts after updating to 10.4.10 (from the bay)

Or it could be that I didnt properly replaced the mach_kernel.

Anyway, I got the "grey screen of death" and can only reboot. I still have a backup OSX86 installation on my USB drive so would it be possible to reinstall the 10.4.9 from within the USB install onto the corrupted SATA install?

I do have a backup too but its an older one so I rather would keep the current one and fix it.

If needed I'll make a pic with my digi cam so you can check the panic details.

I'm also grabbing the tubgirl 10.4.10 but I don't know if it'll run flawless like JAS did.

Any help appreciated lads :)

tubgirl 10.4.10 will run with no problem. It's a great release for AMD and nForce SATA Controllers.

For me every thing worked out right out of the box, except for the sound (ALC850).

USB: works

Graphics: CI/QE out of the box (selected NV40)

Applications: All works.

Lan: Detected

SATA: Recognized after Install

Woops, hold on there m8.

Audio didnt work? It did for me with JAS. What did you have to do to fix it?

SATA recognized after install? I thaught that release was supposed to recognize SATA on install?

I would love to be able to install directly on the SATA drive and not cloning from pata to sata.

JAS 10.4.8 with ppf's recognized my SATA but I could not get osx installed so no go.

Any ideas on that?

Thx for the quick reply bro :)
