Processor and Chipset3 • AMD Turion™ 64 X2 Dual-Core Mobile Technology TL52 • AMD M690V Memory4 • Configured with 1024MB SDRAM (both memory slots may be occupied). Maximum capacity 4096MB Hard Disk Drive5 • 160GB (5400RPM); Serial ATA hard disk drive What can I do? AMD + SATA --------> Vmware .... install (which release?) ....and then boot native. Sailfish Posted September 7, 2007 Share Posted September 7, 2007 1) Try the installation with a JaS 10.4.8 and use the Utilities as soon as they come available at the top. Specifically Disk Utility to locate and format the disk. Proceeding with the install after may allow the disk to show up as a target. 2) If that doesn't work. Look in your BIOS settings and temporarily change your drive type to IDE or IDE emulation. Try the install again as above. Notebook BIOS's are pretty thin so you may or may not get this option. 3) Some folks have had better luck with the Tube Girl Install. 4) This issue is heavily covered on the Forum from various positions.
