I format the HD (all - Eisa partition included) with Gparted and I tryed: Disklabel MAC ------> Unallocated OSX can't see any partition! Disklabel BSD ------> Only one partition Fat32 Osx same problem above MSG error Disk Utility in OSX that seem that I've booted whithout an HD... "Incorret partition map type\n" System Profile -----------> No HD Reinstall vista again because I need a computer that works Waiting for suggestions! naddy69 Posted September 4, 2007 Share Posted September 4, 2007 If you want to install OS X alone - no other OS on the drive - then just use Disk Utility on the Install DVD to partition and format. Make sure you choose "MBR" as the partition type under the Options button at the bottom of the partition screen. If you want to install on a 2nd partition and leave Windows intact, then use Partition Magic or whatever to create a Primary Partition BUT LEAVE THE PARTION BLANK/EMPTY/UNFORMATTED. Then use Disk Utility on the OS X DVD to ERASE the partition. The partition MUST BE PRIMARY.
