The installer works good but no HDD at all!!!

I format the HD (all - Eisa partition included) with Gparted

and I tryed:

Disklabel MAC ------> Unallocated OSX can't see any partition!

Disklabel BSD ------> Only one partition Fat32 Osx same problem above

MSG error Disk Utility in OSX that seem that I've booted whithout an HD...

"Incorret partition map type\n"

System Profile -----------> No HD

Reinstall vista again because I need a computer that works

Waiting for suggestions!

Thanks

Is this SATA? I wouldn't be too surprised if Mac OS does not support your harddrive controller...All I can think of.

If you want to install OS X alone - no other OS on the drive - then just use Disk Utility on the Install DVD to partition and format. Make sure you choose "MBR" as the partition type under the Options button at the bottom of the partition screen.

If you want to install on a 2nd partition and leave Windows intact, then use Partition Magic or whatever to create a Primary Partition BUT LEAVE THE PARTION BLANK/EMPTY/UNFORMATTED. Then use Disk Utility on the OS X DVD to ERASE the partition. The partition MUST BE PRIMARY.
