10.4.8 and s3 unichrome/via 8237 chip

I installed OSX 10.4.8 on amd t3114 ,

 

it works with few probelems , I need help resolving that

 

1 my monitor resolution doesnot go beyond 1024x768

 

2 I have s3/unichrome agp adapter which osx86 recgnises as k8m800, but when i start dvd player to play dvs's it does not play and complains video devices not found

 

3 I have 5.1 channel card and speaker but , It seems that it's not working properly

 

I see ac97audiovia kext loaded .

 

some of the avi does not get sound.

 

Also ,I have another sound card , creative sound blaster 24 , internal , it also does not work , a help is greatly appriciated.

 

I installed callisto without much improvement.

 

My monitor is flatpanel but it is connected to db15 and does not have dvi --model is acer al1916
