i only just got os x to install and the first things i wanted to do was change the resolution from 1024x728 to 1280x1024. i managed to open the terminal and do as this well known guide tells you to.

- Open the terminal (in OSX: Applications > Utilities) - Type in: sudo pico /Library/Preferences/SystemConfiguration/com.apple.Boot.plist - Add: < --key>Graphics Mode< --/key> < --string>1280×1024×32< --/string> IMPORTANT: Don’t forget to remove the “–” from the code and change the resolution to a resolution you want. - Save the file - Reboot your computer
and when i rebooted my computer it does the count down to darwin, then hangs on some text about "titan: could not make a display match"i know this is because of my graphics card (or lack of!) but does anybody know how to put that thing back to how it was that i edited in the terminal????please help

Just a question: when you typed in the code did it look like this <key>Graphics Mode</key> or <--key>Graphics Mode<--/key>? All codes should look like the former, not the latter.

nah i did the right one, its just its my on board graphics card so its rubish. ill have to get a better one some time, but now ive resolved the matter by simply re installing os x. it only had logic express on it, and was quite new so it was lucky i did this quite early on. cheers any way
