I am most comfortable using Premiere however it seems this is not the best choice for my hackintosh. What's a good choice without going overboard - these are home movies, not broadcast. the new iMovie is a no go, tried it an too sparse. thanks. skyhighmac Posted September 3, 2007 Share Posted September 3, 2007 Apple is offering a free dl of imovie '06 if you want to try that. There is Final Cut Express which is a middle product between iMovie and Final Cut Pro. Very powerful. Used it at the apple store. Pretty easy interface (and I have used Premiere extensively). You could try Premiere, see how that works. Final Cut Express is my recommendation if no go on imovie 06 and no go on premiere (since you are already used to it). For simplicity, use iMovie, nothing beats that for home movies. They left because they were too cowardly to actually compete with Final Cut and are now trying to come back.
