GavinX
I'm having a strange problem on my PowerBook. For some reason, the Airport Extreme Card does not show wireless networks SSID's. I've set my newtork to broadcast the SSID, yet the PowerBook just doesn't pick it up, I have to enter it manually. There are also a number of ISPs whose networks are broadcast and my machine doesn't see them. At my school, we have a wireless network with the SSID being broadcast and I cannot see it on the PowerBook. What is worrying is that there are persons with Windows machine who see the networks. My wife's XP machine shows our network at home and a few others for ISPs in our area. Any ideas? GWF
Very strange, my old powerbook g4 can see all broadcast SSIDS even if they are 802.11b or 802.11g. By the way the powerbook g4 only has airport not airport extreeme. So you can only use 802.11b not g, that may be (some how) why you can't see them.
