Well, I running ubuntu linux 7.04 and already burnned uphuck mac osx 10.4.9 release on my DVD. Restarted my OS and booted osx from DVD. Seems like everything's ok, but it's not. Installation starts with some kind of words popping on my screen and last of them says something with localhost (blablablablabla) No such a key or smthg... Then blue screen pops out and I can't do anything, just use my mouse cursor. Maybe this happening because of linux, or GRUB or..? Any suggestions?

Well, we can be 99.9% sure it's nothing to do with Linux or GRUB (I have used both side by side often, and GRUB makes things much easier!)

Perhaps you could take some pictures of the screen, that would help with finding out what the problem is. Also, hardware information is a must!

I think it has got nothing to do with the presence of Ubuntu.

Your system config seems to be okay. I also have almost the same config ( see my signature ) and have no trouble installing Jas 10.4.8 and TubGirl 10.4.10

Btw your nForce/ Lan wouldn't be detected out of the box so you will have to try out the solutions available on the forum.

Also, your audio ALC850 wouldn't work out of the box and i am still not able to get it working. The best solution for sound is to get the USB sound card ( aprox $9 ) and there are models that is recognized by OSX without any additional driver.

Try writing the DVD again at a lower speed ( <= 4x )

Good Luck!!!!
