aster
I've been trying to find a substitute for the beautiful volume controls shortcuts from mac keyboards on my humble USB keyboard. Finally I found this great free program (Sparks) that lets you choose system shortcuts at will. Find it here http://www.shadowlab.org/Software/ Enjoy. Danyel
Hi Aster: Thanks for the sharing the link. I have Logitech EX110 Wireless Keyboard and Mouse. The volume works on the keyboard but not much else. It would be nice to have software that supports different applications like iTunes or Safari. --danyel Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/61786-fix-for-system-volume-shortcuts-on-pc-keyboard/#findComment-437892 Share on other sites

Danyel
Hi Aster: I would just hold down the [F12] Key (as you would on Mac Keyboard). Then you would see the Eject picture on your screen and the DVD/CD-ROM would eject. If you don't have [F12] on your keyboard, maybe you can map another key(s) for [F12] using the software. --danyel Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/61786-fix-for-system-volume-shortcuts-on-pc-keyboard/#findComment-438046 Share on other sites
aster
Hahahah... lol...Thanks Danyel! I used the F12 for the Dashboard. Did not know about the hold down option!By the way, the program I mentioned before, (Spark) has some iTunes options for shortcuts, if you want to take a look, maybe you'll find it interesting.
