twinkiestar
I think I did something really stupid.. to make my thinkpad PCMCIA slot working, I installed TI.PCMCIA.1510.FIX.zip, which basically patched these three kext IOPCICardFamily IOPCIFamily AppleAPIC but then after reboot, the boot GUI screen shows a spinning waiting icon and hangs, and I switched to -v -s to enter single user mode, but it seems already too late, all the kext were loaded and the console hangs at the message "starting processor 1" so what can I do at this point to get back to the file system level and restore the original kext, can I boot with an OSX CD in console mode and then touches files from there? Thanks for your help!! I tried to search "single user mode" but cannot get too much help here. riws
If you did a backup from these 3 Files, then bootup with Install DVD in Single-User Mode, mount HDD, delete the 3 in Extensions, copy the Original ones back, repair permissions, delete Kext Cahce Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/61748-installed-wrong-kext-cannot-even-boot-single-user-mode/#findComment-437733 Share on other sites
