ccihon
Can anyone confirm opening a camera raw image using CS2 and 1111a crashes Photoshop, as mine does? I've got SSE3, no nx....most everything works well. I think raw files opened fine in 1099. Spaz
Crashes for me too. However, I have no kext loaded for my ATI 9800 PRO and wonder if that is the reason. ccihon
I doubt it...I'm running intel 915 chipset graphics thru ADD2 DVI, fully supported with QE and CoreImage.....works great but ACR crashes. I've been meaning try try with different options selected (8 and 16 bit, different color spaces etc). I've tried CRW and CR2 from Canon XT and 10D, also NEF from Nikon D100. Also, DNG made with Adobe convertor, which works to convert, but still uses ACR to open, so crash! jrrjrr
I had the Camera Raw crash also with both DNG and MRW (Minolta Raw) files. Then, I tried the same files going into Camera Raw through Bridge rather than through Photoshop. The first time, Bridge also crashed while I was setting up some of the "settings", but after that, it worked fine and so did Camera Raw. And now, Photoshop to Camera Raw to Photoshop is also working correctly. So it seems to me that there is some interaction between parts of Camera Raw and Bridge, even if you don't have Bridge actually running, that relate to the Camera Raw crash, and that running Bridge a bit helps eliminate the bug and frees Camera Raw to work correctly. On a somewhat related note, the version of Aperture floating around that bypasses the CPU check during the install and also during startup is actually working on my system here. It is processing files pretty fast but the eye candy stuff is running pretty slow. I'm sure this is because I don't have CI or QE with my nVidia FX5200 based video. I am very surprised Aperture runs at all without them!!!
