Please help me getting the resolution 1280x800 working

Hi,

 

i have an acer aspire 5301 Notebook with an mobility x1800 and installed the has 10.4.9 amd on it.

It recognized all out of the box.

 

then i installed the diabolik ati mobility kext.

after editing the ATIRadeonx1000 with the correct card-ID QE und CI is working.

 

the only problem i have, ist that the resolution of osx ist 1024x768 and my notebook support 1280x800.

I tried editing the com.apple.boot.plist with:

<key>Graphics Mode</key>

<string>1280x800x32</string>

 

but there is no change????

 

any idea?
